@NoVanity1 the settings you used on the amp. unless you used a pedal. i was just wondering how to get a good solo sound like that with the amps distortion channel

@georgejonez the amp does have some hum to it, but i doubt thats whats happening here... my guess would be the gibson

@SchecterD687 personally i thought it had great distortion... might be the tubes. regardless, i have the line 6 uber distortion pedal and it works great with this amp. surprisingly. and its not all too expensive. try distortion pedals. i recommend that one

@GJRM18 yes. i have it an the matched cab. its well up to it. its not available new though so you gotta get it used. but its up to any challenge. i use a line 6 distortion pedal but only because i dont have a footswitch for the amp. believe me, it can do anything. and for the price you can get it...

@TurkeyTuck also, having played my friends syn custom, the avenger is surprisingly comfortable. the raised cutaway lets you lean on it and the contours that the knee fits into is very nice. and standing up its not a worry at all. so im fairly comfortable with the avenger shape

the gibson obviously had better pickups. other than that they are exactly the same accept the gibson might have better electronics and wiring. depend on if it was actually a hand made one or a factory made one. either way you would be better off buying the epiphone and putting new pickups in it. ...
