Thanks for posting this! Jerry Clower was one of he finest men I ever met and I count it an honor to have been able to do so, and to have been able to spend a little time with him one rainy night in Georgia. Rest in peace Jerry Clower and tell all the Ledbetters "howdy" for us!

I saw Letterman do this on another occasion and use a photo of the Dove Brothers. I look at it as any publicity is good publicity, even if it shows the ignorance of the one doing the showing!

Still sounds great!! A great song from the 70's that will never die!!

I'll never hear this song now and not think of Doug Heffernan (King of Queens) doing it on Karaoke night.

Thanks for posting Bulldog! There will never be another Lewis Grizzard and all us southerners, and especially we Georgians, and very specifically all us Bulldogs will always miss him. If I'm not mistakened, James Burton played every Elvis Presley date from the time he started back performing in Vegas in '69 until EP's death in August of '77... that includes Vegas and road dates, and that's a lot of dates. EP wanted James Burton because... well, he wanted the best.
