DropZone consists of several components. Key will be the festival terrain which hosts a large stage and video wall to screen concerts. The stage offers artists a 'physical' presence in the shape of an avatar, which enables interaction with users and visitors.
Another area being developed is the Tune in Area, the largest living room in Second Life. TV lovers can watch numerous shows relaxing in huge chairs and sofa's while discussing the show that is being watched.
Dropzone will also bring a genuine nightclub called Mundo. Online dating community Mundo.nl will be the first Dutch dating site which gives their customers the possibility to meet up in Second Life. Finally Talpa Digital is currently developing a unique technology for a virtual world version of Skoeps (skoeps.nl), the new citizen journalism site in the Netherlands. Offering the residents a chance to send in their Second Life skoep to huge billboards throughout this virtual world.
