The US alone makes enough grain in one year to feed the entire world, yet we don't. Meat production pollution pales in comparison to many other industries from fuels to the plastics our computers are made out of. Where are you getting your numbers? 53 billion animals a year? That sounds skewed. In the end if you think meat production is the world's biggest evil you are blind to what we the human race do to each other every day.

firstly you claim overpopulation of the world with animals is bad - i totally agree, thats why im a vegan. do you understand how the meat industry works, you dont really think companies who produce meat are culling animals from the wild do you? do dont actually believe you are helping to keep animal populations down do you? surely not? its the meat companies that breed the animals in their millions , 53 billion a year to be precise, every year! now thats causing masses of pollution and using up resources.
