I guess my passion for video making started at the age of 5 or 6. I loved cartoons and movies as much as any other normal kid would. Around the age of nine, I really got into figuring out how films were produced. I was fascinated with stopmotions. I was completely baffled with how, for example, cards would deal themselves. At age 10, I finally figured it out. I began making my own stopmotions using my dad's digital camera. The downside was, though, I didn't have a tripod. So the video would always be unsteady. It wouldn't be until mid 2008, though, that I would find my talent. When me and my friend Dustin Jarosinski produced a little film on our own called, "How NOT to Damage a Book." How NOT to Damage a Book is definately the thing that made me what I am now. We still didn't have a tripod; so one of us had to be holding the camera. So we were never in a scene together until the very last one; where the camera was on the staircase. Dustin wasn't very good at speaking up when we filmed, How NOT to Damage a Book; so it was rather difficult to hear him. I also ended up being the one who filmed most of How NOT to Damage a Book; because it became a challenge for Dustin to either keep the camera steady, or to keep it in his hands. So after about 4 takes with me, I decided to make Dustin the one that spoke in the second scene. And That's how I became more comfortable behind the camera, than in front of it.
