The Leon County Teen Court is a diversion program for minors who have been arrested and have admitted guilt to their crime. These teens choose to be sentenced by a jury of their peers instead of going through the Leon County Juvenile Justice Court system. The defendant, upon successful completion, will not receive a conviction on his/her record.

Not only are the defendants teens but every participant. This formula ensures the success of the program because the teens are judged by their peers. This experience fosters positive peer pressure and parental involvement.
