Threat Awareness Solutions was created with 3 things in mind. Awareness, Reality, and Simplicity. I wanted to create something that could be taught to anyone from Military, Police, Security, Professionals, and regular ol' citizens. Everyone has the right to protect themselves and it is too often that people are unable to do so. Coming from a Martial Arts background, I had the opportunity to see many different arts and styles, many of them were great and each on of them was created for specific purposes. As time changes, we must adapt. New tactics are better than old ones simply because we have found a more effective way of trying to accomplish what we want. My goal was and is to create a system which is simple, effective, and practical. I wanted to teach something that could be taught to a regular individual in a matter of days and that they could have the upper hand if someone actually attacked them, or at least create an awareness to avoid being a victim as much as possible. This is exactly why T.A.S. was founded and its exactly why people enjoy the programs. I have gone through several arts in edged weapon tactics, broker everything down and took the most effective and put it into the T.A.S. Edged Weapon Tactics Program. Of course providing education and training services to the public meant that we had to make ourselves affordable to the general public and not just big corporations or security organizations. Depending on the program or course selected, I have done my own homework and found that some of these same courses offered by other organizations can cost into the thousands of dollars which I dont think is reasonable for everybody. The curriculum in our programs are set up very well and are very educational. T.A.S. events are hosted usually by other facilities, dojo, gym's, etc. to teach small, medium, to large amounts of people. We don't necessarily have a specific location of training however currently, we are establishing something to where people in the Orange County, CA area could come regularly and train to keep their skills fresh. If you are interested in hosting a T.A.S. seminar or workshop, please send us an email. On a personal note for all of you, some of you may have previous training in Martial Arts or other fighting systems. Some of you may have never had any previous training at all. Regardless of your experience, our system is designed for everyone and on that same not, we dont cancel out any other systems that you feel comfortable with. In otherwords, If you are experienced with advanced techniques, by all means, if you feel comfortable with doing that, thats fine by us. You can do what you want, we would like you to keep training in your art of choice however here at T.A.S. we will be showing you a series of simple techniques. I try and think of us all as a community of friends no matter what your background is in. We want you to be safe.
