In October 2009, a group of Thai artists in New York formed Thai Artists Alliance (TAA) to encourage and support Thai artists living in the United States. The formation of Thai Artists Alliance carries out the long-awaited dream of making the uniqueness of Thai art and culture more prominent within the multicultural community of New York. The groups goals are to open opportunities for Thai artists residing in and outside New York and the United States by presenting the general public with work that spans fine art, design, film, music and performing arts. Thai Artists Alliance is dedicated to furthering the understanding and appreciation of Thai people through the arts as well as serving as a creative resource and supportive organization to connect Thai artists to the broader community.
