Emerging out of the Central Valley California Music scene, Synezra is a band that, through years of experience with frustrating musical endeavors, has come together to utilize a style of writing that does not limit song structure or style to a specific genre. With its soul crushing harmonies and straightforward and insightful lyrical content, Synezra has captured the hearts of many in the Central Valley. They have had the opportunity to play with some well known acts, such as The Misfits, Green Jelly, and Adema throughout the 2009-10. Not to mention all of the friends they have made out of state, as well as out of the country, through word of mouth and the band's undying devotion to express themselves in this currently dying art form... Music. The band formed in the summer of 2008, when Justin "Dip" Schultz and Andre Winzer decided that enduring another music endeavor would only be a futile attempt at a previously unsuccessful project, and decided that the only thing to do was to enjoy music for what it was... and just jam. After rocking out to improvisational melodies and songs that they were able to exhibit over the course of a few weeks, the next step was, inevitably, to find someone to rock out with them... A vocalist. Dip brought to attention the fact that a friend of his, Clint Childers, had just recently left a band and might possibly be interested in performing with them during their improvisational jam sessions. After inquiring with Clint about the possible interest, he happily accepted and they continued to play and write for two months. Finally, they decided that the low end of their sound was missing, and that their songs would greatly benefit from the smooth touches of a talented bass player. Clint had been attending a social gathering, and during a conversation among multiple friends and acquaintances, Justin Anderson was referred to Clint as an extremely talented bass player in need of music. Justin came to a rehearsal, and after less than an hour of getting comfortable with the song structures had developed very tasteful additions to the present melodies. With very little deliberation, the three core members of Synezra had welcomed Mr. Anderson into their band brotherhood. On December 12th, 2008, the band played their first performance at the Lucky 13, under the name "Marly Gnustache." Concluding their performance, they were confronted by one of the bartenders, Adam Cunha, who pulled Clint to the side and let him listen to a few things he had recorded on an MP3 player. He inquired about adding an additional guitarist to the group... himself, and the following week the band, formerly known as Marly Gnustache, held a rehearsal to give Adam an opportunity to compliment the current sound. Needless to say, the band was blown away by what he brought to the music, and he was accepted as the final contributing member of the band. A few months later, the band realized that they wanted to keep doing what they loved as a brotherhood, and decided that a band name that can be taken seriously was necessary. Andre dusted off a retired band name from his high school days, and Synezra began to write their first full length album.
