Some saw Donovan as Britain's answer to Bob Dylan, but whatever he was he was terrific, and he took "Sunshine Superman" to #1 on the U.S. charts in August of 1966. Born Donovan Philips Leitch in Glasgow, Scotland, he developed polio as a child which left him with a limp. Donovan was profoundly influenced by the folk music he heard as a child and began writing and playing his own music in his teens. "Sunshine Superman" was his "introduction" to American audiences with a brilliant recording production by Mickie Most.

Track from mega rare Belgian soundtrack 45 who includes one Pretty Things track from their Electric Banana period.
Was released in 1968 on De Wolfe records in the UK but also as 45 in Belgium.
Only a handfull of copies pressed and impossible to track down these days...
Now that's it's known that this is a Pretty Things 45 prices will rocket...
