I'm honestly a little hesitant to explain some things because I don't know what religious views you may have, so I wouldn't wanna tell you things that would go against what you believe, because it involves crazy things such as aliens, psychics, the afterlife, evolution, etc.

It's not really the govt as a whole, though. It's the Illuminati (aka the cabal) which is a corrupt group within the govt that officially took over the USA in 1913 when the Federal Reserve act was passed.
2012 doesn't necessarily mean that our problems will just "go away" because we need to take action to do so. It's actually pretty complicated, and I don't fully understand it myself honestly, but I doubt anybody truly does, lol.
