Jerry Williams is from Sweden. He's been a rock star since the early 60's and is still at it. There are lots of his songs on Youtube such as I Can Jive, Did I Tell You and Who's Gonna Follow You Home. Enjoy!

My band - Northern Band of the Royal Swedish Army - played this instead of the song we were ordered to play - The Bare Necesseties - during our final Changing of the Guards ceremony before we were disbanded. Very appreciated by the crowd, not so much by the commanding officers :-)

AJ skulle ju ha kunnat prata kalixmål, men då hade hennes scener måst förlängas så hon hunnit med sina repliker - så varje avsnitt hade blivit 45 min... :-)

Originally the solo is played on Eb kornett just like in this video, not clarinet, trumpet or piston cornet.

Since "standard" wind band instrumentation of today doesn't include kornetts it has to be substituted in modern arrangements, unless you are lucky enough to have a band member...

@DSTANSE That was Dynamo Minsk, the team that was supposed to play against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Instead they got to hold this memorial ceremony. Heartbreaking!

This is amazingly close to the image we europeans have of the "tea party" people, telling the other republicans what to think. Very similar message and debate technique.

So far nothing beats the Jerry Williams version.

"-Har ni hört texten? Först spelar hela kåren 'Vad säger Svenska folket när de får en sup?' och sedan ska trumpetsektionen svara 'Jo jag tackar!' Men ni, trumpeter, ni spelar inte 'Jo jag tackar!'...
