"Surfing With The Cowboy" are a rock band , mix of a Tribute band (to guitar legends Joe Satriani and Stevie Ray Vaughan) and a band with original songs.
They are based in São Paulo, Brazil and they were formed in early 2009.
Founded by guitarist/singer Rico Pereira their music is a combination of songs and instrumental pieces.
The name of the band is a reference to Joe Satriani's "Surfing With The Alien" album (arguably his most successful album) and Stevie Ray Vaughan's ever present cowboy hat. ------------------
"Surfing With The Cowboy" é uma banda de rock, uma mistura de banda tributo (aos lendários guitarristas Joe Satriani e Stevie Ray Vaughan) e uma banda com musicas próprias.
Eles são de São Paulo, Brasil e foram formados no começo de 2009.
Fundada pelo guitarrista/vocalista Rico Pereira seu repertório contém canções e musicas instrumentais.
O nome da banda é uma brincadeira com o nome do album "Surfing With The Alien" de Joe Satriani e o sempre presente chapéu de cowboy de Stevie Ray Vaughan.
