15年位前、レキサスのクーペ（ソアラの事？）買って、１６０マイル（２５７キロ）のタコメーター見て、どの位本当に出るのか試­すのに、LAからサンホゼまで５号線の直線を全速して見た。　２３８キロ（１４８マイル)まで出るが、そこからはいくら踏んでも加速しなかった。後で解ったが、アメリカでは、規制があってそ­こまで早くなると、シャットダウンするっての教えられた。　ふ～む。　１４３キロ(１２５マイル)でパトカー越したけど越したけど顔見合わせて敬礼されて、捕まりもしなかった…

Japanese emergency vehicles are so small. I understand that the streets are much narrower in Japan... but still, they are too small. American fire-engine's ladder reaches 6th floor, but Japanese one may reach only 3rd floor, if any... Cute than good looking.
