Say (O Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)): "He is Allâh, (the) One. (1) Allâh the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks). (2) "He begets not, nor was He begotten. (3) "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." (4)

Say (O Muhammad p.b.u.h. to mankind). "If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if we brought (another sea) like it for its aid." (109) Say (O Muhammad P.B.U.H.): "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilâh (God) is One Ilâh (God — i.e. Allâh). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord." (110)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h.) said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.
2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.
3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) .
4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca)
5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.
