You LOVE to regurgitate this tired old line that "you cannot guarantee rights from the state [...] without taking away the liberty of another." Where you're wrong is in how you would choose to define "liberty." Libertarians promote the primacy of "negative liberty," which is what leads you to have such a narrow & unrealistic conception of liberty. The TRUTH is that the distinction between positive and negative liberty is specious because positive and negative liberty are indistinguishable in practice, and one cannot exist without the other. The inconvenient REALITY libertarians neglect to take into account is that human beings are largely interdependent, and no individual's activity is so completely private as never to obstruct the lives of others in any way.This means that libertarians DO NOT embrace a realistic conception of "liberty."
