2. Elvis' "Hound Dog" is dated 1956 not 1952, the same about "Rock Around the Clock" - was recorded in april 1954.

I personally stay at that point of view that true RnR started from the "Fat Man" by Fats Domino (1950), but that here is a wonderful example of an early electric blues guitar and boogie work, especially for a gospel artist.

Btw, Haley was born in 1925, so he was 13 at that time
