Sunni Shia Unity

Bismillah, Al rahman Al rahim
Wasalat Ala Muhammad wa Ala Alihi
I am working towards uniting shia's and sunnis, on the worship of One God (Tawhid) Allah (swt), love of his prophet Muhammad (SAW), love of Ali (ra), love of the Ahl Al-Bayt (Family of the Prophet SAW), and the love of the Sahaba (companions) and to make dawah to (invite) non-muslims and show them the truth about the Prophet (SAW), and to counter misconceptions and attacks on islam.

There are those who quote a hadith that the Prophet (SAW) said that this Ummah doesn't unite on error.
And I agree because the Quran also says:

3:31 Say: "If ye do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

However as I stated above my aim isn't to unite on falsehood but to unite the sunni's and shia's on the worship of Allah (swt) alone, love of the Prophet (SAW), Ali (ra), and the family of the Prophet (SAW).

People from all groups are putting their differences aside and uniting against the Muslims, and some misguided Muslims are out there making takfir and killing Muslims!

Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran:
4:92 "Never should a believer kill a believer"
4:93
"If a man kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein (For ever): And the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him, and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him."
49:9
"And if two parties among the believers fall into a quarrel, make peace and reconciliation between the two (contending) parties

So is a Shia or Sunni who says "La ilaha ila Allah, Muhammadan RasulAllah", is he then not a believer?

How does a Muslim become a kafir, if he testifies that Allah is One, and that Muhammad (SAW) is his Last Messenger, despite the persons creed?

The Prophet (SAW) defined Islam as:
Islam is that you bear witness that there is none to be worshipped except Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and that you should keep up prayer, and pay the Zakaat, and fast in Ramadan, and perform the pilgrimage to the House of God if you are able to do it. (Muslim, Abu Daud, Tirmizi, Nasai)

the Messenger (SAW) also said:
"He who says to his brother 'O Disbeliever', then it returns upon one of them." He also said: "And he who accuses a believer of Kufr (disbelief) then it is like killing him."

The Prophet (SAW) said, To revile another Muslim is fisq (sinful) and to kill him is kufr.

The Prophet (SAW) also said:
If two Muslims meet with their swords, the one who kills and the one killed will be in Hell. (Narrated by Al-Bukhari & Muslim).
This hadith is in regards to them both wanting to kill each other.

As for not praying behind a Shia, because they are Kaffirs, it was narrated by Abu Hurairah: The Prophet (SAW) said: "Striving in the path of Allah (jihad) is incumbent on you along with every ruler, whether he is pious or impious; the prayer is obligatory on you behind every believer, pious or impious, even if he commits grave sins; the (funeral) prayer is incumbent upon every Muslim, pious and impious, even if he commits major sins. "
(However Sunni schools of thought require the imam leading the prayer to pray in the same way you usually would, as he is representing your prayer and you are following him. So if his prayer differs, it might invalidate your prayer.)

Sheikh Anwar al Awlaki said:
"Scholars of those times even if they disagreed on some issues they would not speak out loud against the Muslim fighters of the day and would not give fatawa that would play into the hands of the enemy. The reputation of the Turkish soldiers who were the Muslim armies of the day was that of corruption and consumption of alcohol. Nevertheless al-Imam al Ghazali said these are the protectors of Islam and had plenty of praise for them. Ibn Taymiyyah in his own words said many of soldiers of his time (the Mamluks) were corrupt but he went as far as calling them al Taifah al Mansoorah"

These Sunni's and Shia's who make takfir on each other are similar to the people mentioned in Bukhari and Muslim when Ali (ra) sent some money from Yemen to the Prophet (SAW), and the Prophet (SAW) divided it among four men. At this a man who was there said: O Messenger of Allah, fear Allah!

The Prophet (SAW) said:
Woe to you! Who on earth is more obliged to fear God than me!
Khalid Ibn Walid was present. He said:
Messenger of Allah, should I not kill him?

The Prophet (SAW) said:
NO, PERHAPS HE SAYS HIS PRAYER.

Khalid said:
Many are they who say their prayers, but do not have in their hearts what they say with their tongues.

The Prophet (SAW) said:
I HAVE NOT BEEN COMMANDED TO OPEN UP THE HEARTS OF PEOPLE OR TO CUT OPEN THEIR INSIDES"
The Messenger or Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said, "The blood of a Muslim is worth more than the Kaba and all its surroundings."

The Prophet SAW said:
Tearing down al Kaaba stone by stone is less than shedding the blood of a Muslim
