Hi I'm Niall, a Scot living in Galway for the last fifteen years, I'm a bodhran player who likes a dose of the old trad and a drop of Guinness. I'm a bit of an unoffical Pink Floyd archivist myself, firstly, it was the albums in the mid 80s, then live tapes from audience and now video and dvd enthusiast, I've been hooked since that visual documentary book by Miles and Andy Mabbet, with stunning Concert photography of the group. I've also been collecting and archiving Irish traditional music on video, using some of it as my tutorials for my bodhran students. By the way if ye's get a chance check out this website based in Galway, I do a little reviewing and help out sometimes at the radio station: http://www.eclecticmeme.com/, this is an unique 24 hour internet radio station dedicated to Creative Commons Artists. Lots of dance sounds, cutn'paste loony experimenters, folk rock, indie rock, the idea is mainly plunderphonics, searching for music archives in the public Domain, possibly 40 year old peices, mixed together by djs and programmers with new found sounds and technology. The amazing thing is that under Creative Commons you can remix other artists music if they happen to be in CC aswell. Anyway nice talkin to ya's, I'll be in touch soon, all the best Niall.
