Anonymous is not one philosophy, as it is not one group nor person, but rather it is everyone who chooses to be. Through the unprecedented freedom of information and communication without censorship that the internet provides, Anonymous has the vantage point to identify those that would seek to control and harm others. Thus the cult known as the Church of Scientology has come to its attention.

Anonymous has concluded that Scientology is a disseminator of reprehensible aspects of humanity and as such must be destroyed.

The masks that Anonymous participants wear are a unifying symbol, a representation that through anonymity Anonymous is free from the intrusive controlling nature of Scientology, a point of interest and inquiry, and a means of concealing identification to avoid personal attacks.
