Summy is a seasoned cook with over 40 years of experience. A mother of five, she was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria where she spent hours on end learning from her mother the intricacies of Nigerian cooking. In Nigerian culture, it is customary for daughters to be in the kitchen with their mothers at all times; it is in this place that Simbo perfected her skills as a Nigerian cook. Simbo has been professionally involved in the food industry for years. In 2006, she made a guest appearance on the Food Network show, Sara's Secrets, teaching viewers how to prepare a Nigerian dinner. Today she hosts cooking segments on YouTube, sharing her cooking talents with the world. Cooking has been Simbos passion all of her life. Her desire is to connect people, young and old to authentic African cuisine. The love she puts into her cooking is the key ingredient that makes her food stand out a head above the rest.
