The Summer School (SS) is a joint activity of the EULAKS Project , funded by the European Communitys Cooperation Programme (Social Sciences and Humanities) under the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (Contract number: 217190). The Summer School was coordinated by the Latin American Faculty for the Social Sciences (FLACSO Mexico).

The interest of the Summer School was to create a space for reflection and exchange among students and teachers referred to European and Latin American approaches, trends and possibilities for the design of STI policies oriented to increase: training of human resources capable of responding to research challenges, institutional management and circulation of knowledge to strengthen the knowledge-based society.
