I have been playing real (electric drums) for 5 months now, and im self thaught.
my kit is probably the shittiest you will see on youtube. I took it from my ion drum kit and made a electric kit with alesis dm5 drum brain.
Most of my pads and cymbals are broken, pretty much all my pads has its skin pulled up, so bounces does not occur. Cymbals work but they are also pretty trashed, the pad sound is really loud and sound like its cracked or sum.
I have 2 pads, which works OK. one pad thats works OK but it had its stand broken and i have a pad which died but can still stand, so i put my ok pad on it, which you can see in my ADTR drum video. along with that i have 2 cymbals, 1 hit and 1 ride/crash. For pedals i have a hit hat pedal and a bass drum, and yes i have no double bass ;(
