Every human being is equally created in the image of God and must be treated accordingly. Jewish racism toward Arabs must end. "Jewish racism" is an oxymoron and a perversion of Torah values.

Judaism and Islam are both monotheistic, worshiping the one Creator. Neither could ever worship a human being as God. Both believe man must submit his will to that of the Creator's.

All acts of terror must be condemned and called the evil that they are, such as suicide bombings that target Israeli Jews. In our community, we must make clear that Baruch Goldstein is no Jewish hero; he is a cold-blooded murderer who brutally took the lives of dozens of innocent human beings while they were praying. His grave must cease to be a shrine for any Jew.

The mere questioning of Israel's treatment of Palestinians should not automatically make suspect the loyalty of the questioner to the Jewish people and the Holy Land. To the contrary, it could very well be a fulfillment of the questioner's understanding of Judaism's highest ideals in justice and ethical treatment of one's fellow man.

Most importantly, Judaism is lived through observance of the mitzvos and studying Torah, not through paying homage to and worshiping the secular State of Israel, a false god of our generation.

All Jews, both those living within and outside the Holy Land, are in galus (exile) until Moshiach comes to redeem the Jewish people and builds the Third Holy Temple. The founding of the State of Israel does nothing to change this.

Accordingly, we neither recited Hallel on Yom Ha'atzmaut, whether with or without a bracha, nor do we invoke the State of Israel in our benching during the "Harachamans". We certainly do not regard the secular state of Israel as indicative of the "first flowering of our redemption."

May we strive to fulfill the Torah's highest ideals of loving the Holy Land of Israel and praying for the welfare of all its inhabitants. We pray for the days of Messianic times and the Ultimate Redemption when all mankind, Jew and Palestinian alike, will live in universal peace and brotherhood, and in which all Jews will know their Father in Heaven through His Torah and mitzvos, in the Land of Israel, with our Righteous Redeemer.

PRINCIPLES OF FAITH:
1.I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is the Creator and Guide of all the created beings, and that He alone has made, does make, and will make all things.
2. I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is One and Alone; that there is no oneness in any way like Him; and that He alone is our God - was, is and will be.
3. I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is incorporeal; that He is free from all anthropomorphic properties; and that He has no likeness at all.
4. I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is the first and the last.
5. I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is the only one to whom it is proper to pray, and that it is inappropriate to pray to anyone else.
6. I believe with complete faith that all the words of the Prophets are true.
7. I believe with complete faith that the prophecy of Moses our teacher, peace unto him, was true; and that he was the father of the prophets, both of those who preceded and of those who followed him.
8. I believe with complete faith that the whole Torah which we now possess was given to Moses, our teacher, peace unto him.
9. I believe with complete faith that this Torah will not be changed, and that there will be no other Torah given by the Creator, blessed be His name.
10. I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, knows all the deeds and thoughts of human beings, as it is said, "It is He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who perceives all their actions." (Psalms 33:15).
11. I believe with complete faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, rewards those who observe His commandments, and punishes those who transgress His commandments.
12. I believe with complete faith in the coming of the Messiah, and although he may tarry, nevertheless, I wait every day for him to come.
13. I believe with complete faith that there will be resurrection of the dead at the time when it will be the will of the Creator, blessed be His name and exalted be His remembrance forever and ever.
