Carla Carli Mazzucato was born in 1935 in Appiano (Bolzano) Italy.
With a delicate blending of a rich artistic past and a distinctive contemporary vision, Mazzucato created a unique style that set her apart from other 20th century artists. Her work, exhibited in galleries from New York City to Seoul, Korea, defined a new artistic movement dubbed "modern expressionism" by Samuel Sachs II, former director of the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Mazzucato's work is now part of numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, Austria, France, Korea and Japan. Her work is also featured in international publications and catalogs of contemporary artists.
