I'm someone who sees the future of the United Kingdom and worries about the direction this country is going in economically, socially and politically. Where will this country be in 50 years? I wonder...and I hope that I can help steer this country the right way.

There is a solution to the United Kingdom's problems and I hope one day very soon things can start to turn around for the better...but only hard work will make that happen.

The truth is things don't change on there own and if you want things to change you have to take a stand and be prepared to speak out for what you believe in.

Things I agree with:

• Protect the political and civic freedoms of the individual

• Promote Direct Democracy, including greater use of referenda

• Support the decentralisation of power to the lowest practical level(s) i.e. 'subsidiarity'

• Support the widespread ownership of property, both business and personal

• Support for the 'Third' economic sector i.e. the Independent Small Trader, Self-Employed and Co-operatives

• Preservation of the nation state

• Recognising the importance of the Family, Community and Nation as building blocks that construct a healthy and stable society whilst accepting those who choose a different lifestyle or outlook

• Support measures to keep the land and environment 'Green and Pleasant'.

All these principles are not only held by me, but a party known in the UK as the National Liberals. This party I admire and respect could do alot to make this country better.
