My goal for this channel is to bring my experience just "scrapin' by" to others. I have spent many years doing some awesome stuff that is beyond my budget. I accomplish this by finding good deals, and quality, economy priced gear. I want to bring that to you. I firmly believe that an items price does not dictate it's worth, and I will carry that belief into my videos. I also intend to post a lot of plain old adventure videos. I love watching other's adventures, so I thought I would contribute some of my own.

First and foremost, I am a soldier. I am a member of the United States Army Infantry. This is my highest valued accomplishment, and I would trade it for nothing.

Beyond the Army I hold a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology and Psychology with a minor in Biochemistry. I am currently working towards my PhD in Computational Neuroscience. This background in the hard sciences has helped me to understand the physiology of survival situations as well as plant interactions within the body.

I am an avid rock climber, mountaineer, hiker, fisherman, camper, and shooter. I teach rock climbing, hiking, wilderness survival, and land navigation courses with a premier Colorado mountaineering organization.

As of right now, my newest hobby is Youtube and I am loving it!
