Nice try, but that is incorrect. You'll find that the martial arts Style Ryu, Ken, Gouken, Gouki all practice/descend from is called 'Ansatsuken' which translates as 'Assassin's/Assassination Fist' i.e a killing art/lethal style. This series is about past, present and future of the 'Ansatsuken Legacy'

We also hate how poorly done the movies and series have turned out. That's why this project exists, we've just launched a kickstarter campaign today. We're all really passionate about the project, our vision is to make a truly faithful series, failure is not an option.

The press release gave a very broad outline of the story, and details of the style etc. Don't you worry! it is clear and obvious to us that the style Ryu and Ken practice,as taught to them by Gouken, is not full original Ansatsuken but is a hybridized style that Gouken has developed which still has its basis in the original Ansatsuken he and Gouki were taught by Goutetsu. Just relax and trust that all the story elements are gonna be handled accurately, with great detail, research and care.
