Strangelandic

Strangelandic is English songwriter, producer and singer, Conil who has collaborated with renowned Grammy winning producer, Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Black Keys); double bass legend, Danny Thompson (Nick Drake, Tim Buckley); and guitar hero, Peter Green (Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac).

His first release, Strange Part of the Country landed a 4-STAR 'Q Recommends' review in Q Magazine and the front cover feature in Blues Matters Magazine which claimed: 'This has to be one of the most original artists out there at the moment'.

He received many glowing blog reviews for this album. After playing SXSW in Austin, Texas he got to number 3 in the US alternative radio chart with a version of his song, 'Years Between'.

Surprisingly he was included in Heat Magazine's annual Hot New Artists top 10. He is not sure why - perhaps because of his appearance on Ricky Gervais' comedy partner, Stephen Merchant's radio show or perhaps because of the tabloid press stories about his song, 'Dog Meat Stew' being banned in China for the Olympic games!
