Over the past 30 years, hip hop has gone through many diffrerent phases. But at this time, it seems that hip hop is in the worst possible phase of all. Nas made us all aware of this in 2006 when he released "Hip Hop Is Dead". And after 2 years, some rappers finally realize what he was trying to say: HIP HOP HAS BECOME SO WHACK!!! With that being said, aspiring young rapper, Paraphraze, is plotting to turn the hip hop back to the way it was, the way it should be. He is a member of the controversial rap duo "Partnaz In Rhyme" & also "L.A.W. Boyz". He is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. He first developed an interest in hip hop at age 11. "It was around the same time that Bow Wow came out. I thought to myself that if Lil' Bow Wow can rap at his age, then maybe I can too." When Kanye West released "Jesus Walks", Paraphraze was inspired to become a Gospel rap artist. However, he didn't get serious about rapping until he turned 14. "After I saw Tupac: Resurrection, I started listening to his music & I was feeling alot of what he had to say. So I started writing rhymes. I remember summer 2004. I had just come home from a youth conference. I was just sitting around one cloudy day and I decided to write a poem about a girl I met at the conference. Once I finished it, I realized that I had a thing for writing rhymes. That's when I knew I wanted to be a rapper." Other than Tupac, he was inspired by other rap artists such as Kanye West, The Game, Young Buck, Boyz N Da Hood, N.W.A., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony & many others. Unfortunately, when he reached the teen years of his life, the Christlike mentality that his mother enstilled within him at a young age was disrupted by his unloving surroundings & so-called homies. In 2005, his family moved to Austin, Texas, where he met Lindsey "Junior Boi" West Jr. They collaborated and formed Partnaz In Rhyme. "I'm considered to be a controversial artist because I refuse to sugarcoat anything talk about in my music. If I feel a certain way about something, I'm gonna let you know exactly how I feel, and quite frankly, I could care less what anybody thinks of my views and opinions. SO GET ON MY LEVEL OR SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!"
