We already have a glut at the PF position, so what does Randolph really do for us? His potential is high, yes, but it's just not a position of need for us right now. Unless it's a trade that involves Monta Ellis OR a trade such as Randolph and #6 for Jefferson then I'm not on board.
I am not really a fan of the #6 pick either. Everyone knows this is a five-man draft and after the Kings pick the talent drops off immensely. I mean, look at the guys that are potentially going to be taken at 6 and 7. Monroe and Aminu. Those guys have question marks ALL over them. I wouldn't feel confident drafting either of them, personally.
I'm still holding out/hoping we can somehow trade up to #2 and snatch up Turner. Rubio + Turner for a decade sounds exciting.
As for what we should do, I think we should do everything we can to move up and get Evan Turner. The only two players I think that should be untradeable on this team are Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love, and maybe Corey Brewer (because he took huge steps this year and might continue to get better).
If we can't convince the Sixers to give up the #2, I think we should move up to the #5 w/o giving up our #4 to get BOTH Cousins and Wes Johnson. That'd be awesome.
Either of those two scenarios would be great in my mind. What do you think?
derrick favors is another low-basketball IQ guy with an erratic unproven game.
No way we want those guys
