Looks like you look after your horses really well. They don't have any problems with carriage horses here in Australia, wonder why they are so fussed with it over there? I wish you luck with everything, your horses are beautiful.

Things are going well in Philly! Had a couple of protests from Horses Without Carriages International, but mostly they got laughed off the park by most of the tourists...

BeckaNoel... Um, horses BUILT the city! Far better to have a horse who gets out and works and is with people 8 to 12 hours a day and gets lots of exercise and socialization in a city, than a horse who nominally lives in the country, but spends 23 hours a day in a stall!

And I also know a herd of horses in rural Massachusetts who have all the space in the world, and where do they go stand on a hot summer day? 10 ft from the busy road so that when the semis come 'round the corner they blow air on them! (They're retired carriage horses... one of whom refuses to pull a carriage on the dirt road on the farm - it's uncivilized - but will happily go play in traffic!)

I love taking a break and then popping back in to see what's brewing. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but NO ONE has the right to force their ideas on to others, ie. Hitler. I don't ask anyone to have their horses in the city. But I EXPECT no one to tell me I can't work with horses who are in the city. Becka, you have a right to your opinion. But respect ours as well, thanks.

Hey Beckanoel - Don't like horses in the city? Then don't put your horse in one. Telling OTHER responsible owners what THEY can do with THEIR horses is bullcrap.
What is even smellier bullcrap is the 'horses need peace and freedom' bit. Sooo, it's better that they don't EXIST, that they get sent to slaughter, rather than have what you see as a less-than-idyllic life? Get a grip - dogs and cats like to run free too, does that mean nobody should keep a pet if they live in the city? It's absurd, and fascistic to tell OTHER PEOPLE what they should or can or cannot do.
Go back to your puppies and rainbow dreamworld, and leave our blue-collar working horses ALONE - they don't need you helping them to the slaughter house, TYVM!
