About Crime Stoppers of Hamilton

Crime Stopper's of Hamilton is a CRIME PREVENTION charitable organization run by a volunteer community board. The program is sustained through the boards fund raising efforts and donations by concerned citizens, business, labour and service clubs. All rewards are paid from these donations and no tax money is used to run the program.

Crime Stoppers of Hamilton is a non-profit organzation that is run and funded by citizens of the community. Crime Stoppers is not the police. We are a working partnership with the Community, Media and Law Enforcement to reduce crime in our great city. Although we are locally run and funded we are members of The Ontario Crime Stoppers Association(OCSA), Canadian Crime Stoppers Association (CCSA) and Crime Stoppers International (CSI). We collect information anonymously through our phone line, through our website and through the new "TIPSOFT - Submit a Tip" Smart Phone App. We do not collect any user information and the TIPs will never be traced back to the individual who supplies it to us!
The information we collect can be about the smallest infractions to international crimes against humanity.
