Stoney River Studios is an independent production company working locally, nationally and internationally.

Created by myself - Scottie McKinnon. I am a DOP/Cameraman/Editor. I have had the pleasure to be involved in the television broadcast industry for 25 years having filmed in over 130 countries. This unbelievable journey has given me an extraordinary portfolio of environments, clients, people, and multi-media platforms.

Born in Wellington New Zealand in November 1967 and at the age of 3 weeks moved to and grew up in Sydney Australia -- The last 18 years were spent in London, Cyprus and Dubai.
Finally now I have got used to all the sheep jokes!

The return to New Zealand was due to the tragic murder of my brother-in-law Trent Keegan in Nairobi, Kenya 2008 -- Trent was following his dream to let the less fortunate speak through his lens with his passion for pictures. My wife Nikki and NOW our beautiful daughter Evangeline - thank you Trent for giving us this wonderful opportunity to return home. You will always be with us.
