This type of drumming (though fast) is really a lot of noise. You repeat yourself over and over, same fills everyone does with that style. Creativity seems to be very limited. Everyone that plays this style just does the same thing same thing same thing same thing same thing same thing same thing...

As you speed up it is no longer very smooth. It becomes just a bunch of accented notes...fast yes, smooth... not so much

Why does so many drummers think they need to switch to traditional grip when they start to play something with the classic jazz ride feel. You're playing clearly drops off when you do. You're playing is fine. You are just clearly not a traditional grip player. I am not ragging on you're playing, ...

Maybe you should have overtightened the drum and and broke the head, then nobody else would be waisting their time with this lame ass videoand could have kept that 2:14 in their life doing something worthwhile

This must have been from the late 70's Buddy Rich did'nt play a Fibes snare drum like he does here for very long. The same snare he used during the recording of Rich Live in London. Absolutely the most amazing drummer of all time. To this day nobody can match his speed, style, taste and technique...

For a famous drummer this guy is a hack...Same typical fills, nothing creative or different. His solo's never get better because he never gets any better. He's just getting by playing the same simple licks he knows. No one cares that he is in a famous band we're just talking drumming skills here ...

sounds fine ...but the hi hat beat is created by the opening and closing of the hi hat itself not with a heavy stick beat. The hi hat is very hot in the drum mix creating the beat . Listen to it again and you'll hear it. Great job on the fills.

This guy has not learned a new lick in 20 years. A 70's style metal drummer that has not progressed in his style, licks or solo. He can keep a simple rock groove alive though. No disrespect just fact.

Sorry but I think that tom set up would make one's drumming very limited... although I do agree that it would make you play differently and one's creativity would be expressed and challenged in a new way.

This kid has some serious chops behind him... it's just a shame he has to play this kind of garbage music to get paid for them. The music is fine for some, it's just not musician music if you think about it. Just an opinion...

Really.... what good is that speed if you can hardly hear it. It would'nt blend well if you're playing a whole kit.
