I think the voice actor for Kaneda in the '88 dub is laughably bad. Seriously, he sounds like Fred Figglehorn in an adult's voice. Speaking of adult voices, I also think the voice is more age-accurate in the 2001 dub. Kaneda is a teenager. Teenagers don't sound like that.
