About this user

SKAK's Directors are Steve Kaufman and wife, Donna Dixon. Steve is the only 3-time winner of the National Flat Pick Guitar Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. Steve also tours internationally as a performer and instructor and has authored over 100 music instruction publications (books, videos, etc.). In 1990, Steve and Donna began what is now known as "Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp," which has grown to be the largest and most award-receiving acoustic music camp in the world. Students travel from around the world to Maryville, Tennessee to attend SKAK which has received the "Best Workshops, Seminars and Camps" award from Acoustic Guitar magazine 4 times. Since beginning the Kamp in 1990, Steve has developed the reputation of being the "World's Guitar Instructor."
