Steve Kantrowitz is not a politician. His candidacy reflects the ideal of a "citizen-legislator," favored by those who framed our Constitution. Relying on his real-world experience and skills in founding and running his own successful small business, as well as his 30-year military career, Steve will bring the honesty, integrity, and accountability that the taxpayers of Pennsylvania deserve in Harrisburg:

-Steve will lead the fight for effective and honest government resulting in lower taxes and growth in jobs and personal income. He will restore public confidence in government through elimination of cronyism, nepotism, and the use of taxpayer money to promote candidates and other practices that raise taxes and lower the quality of services provided to our citizens.

-Steve will demand government accountability at all levels. Steve will not tolerate poor performance by public officials, like the Department of Transportation's dismal response to a minor snowfall in February 2007 leading to closure of I-78 and the trapping of motorists for well in excess of 24 hours.

-Steve will work for affordable health insurance for our families by promoting competition and getting rid of regulations that drive prices up, and sensible reforms of our legal system that will also enable us to attract and keep the best doctors.

-Steve will work to lower energy costs for our families by encouraging all types of conservation to reduce demand AND bring all types of energy on line to increase supply, enabling our families to heat and cool their homes and have access to the most efficient and affordable transportation to encourage economic growth.

-Steve will support organizations working to preserve our open space and natural resources and build governmental and private coalitions to safeguard our natural assets and improve our quality of life.
