I was 15 yrs old in 1981 when I first heard of AIDS. By the way, it wasn't called AIDS, or HIV, or anything in those days, it had no official name. Some called it GRID (Gay Related Immune Deficiency). I knew by 15 that I was gay, but thankfully I was born late enough that I hadn't started expe...
