Stephen Potter is an individual aspiring to be an electronic artist. Since discovering FL Studio 8 in the December of 2008, Stephen has experimented with different genres and sounds. Stephen originally started making Above and Beyond-esque trance music, but has progressed to other genres, such as drum and bass, house, dubstep, chillout, and occasionally takes influences from more natural genres; such as reggae, jazz and even salsa.
Due to disliking the idea of bieng constrained to a single genre, Stephen often takes elements from several different genres in order to create his compositions. He takes influences from a wide range of artists, from Gorillaz, right through to Aphex Twin, along with everything inbetween. Stephen rarely feels the need for lyrics on his tracks, as he prefers to show the intended emotion through the instruments moreso through the voice, and only uses vocals as another layer of sound.
Stephen uses Fl Studio 10, and a wide range of VSTs, including Genesis, String Theory, Dblue Glitch, Tone2 Gladiator 2, as well as all the default FL sounds, and additional Image-line plugins, such as Poizone and Sakura. He is also currently learning how to use Cubase 4 and Ableton 4.
Stephen is currently unsigned, but is willing to do whatever it takes to get himself known. As long as its about the music, he doesn't really mind.
