Stephen Lyons, is a Philadelphia based actor/singer/songwriter. His new album Fall was released in January 2008, produced by Grammy nominated producer Anthony Newett of Newett Studios and Independent Producer Jeff Barrett. The title track Fall and How Do You Know both went to number 1 on Indyreview.net and tracked in the top 10 for over a month. 'Fall' also received an honorable mention by the New York City Singer/Songwriter's Circle in Spring of '09. Stephen studied Bel Canto vocal technique under Barbara Washington-Grant at The University of the Arts, and earned his BA in Theatre from De Sales University. The new album features a diverse collection of songs that range from the romantic and anthemic 'Fall' to the timeless Simon/Garfunkel classic, 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. Stephen performs with a phenomenal five piece band backed up by Peter Trezzi (Drums), Jeff Barrett (Keys), Ricardo Rodriguez (Bass), and Steve Schaffer (Lead Guitar), and have performed extensively in New York and Philadelphia including such club as: The Bitter End (NYC), Crash Mansion (NYC), the Cutting Room (NYC), Unwined @ Symphony Space (NYC), Tin Angel (Phila.), North Star Bar (Phila.) World Cafe Live (Phila.) and many others. Among other artists Stephen has been compared to include: Jeff Buckley, Morten Harket, Josh Groban, U2, and Keane. Originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, Stephen has toured extensively as an actor, Stephen can be seen online as the patriotic country superstar, JT Kraig in The Onion News satire sketch piece, Bomb New York. He wrote and performed original music for the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festivals folk/rock production of As You Like It which earned a Lillie Stoates nomination for best production in the spring of 2001.
