About this user

Born in Venice, Italy, 1964. From the age of three developed an endless love for Black Music (Rhythm and Blues, Soul and the first Funk) on some 45 rpm records owned by her uncle Andy, 12 years older. Her uncle was a drummer on a local R&B band and a jazz lover. Spending a lot of time with him and listening to Various Jazz records, she beacame confident with several jazz expressions of that time: from Hard Bop, to Brubeck's Cool, to the New Thing of Coleman and Lateef (Impulse). She Inherited her uncle Hollywood Drums kit when she was 10 and started touching piano and guitar to improve her ability and spread her love for jazz progressions. Since then, music it's ever been a very important side of her life, deeply related to the several jobs she's been involved through the years. In the first 80s, DeeJay in Discos and FM Radio; in the second half of the 80s journalist and director for some local TV Talk Shows and News on some stations located in North Italy (Padova, Venezia, Bologna). With the two years of the Rome Actor Studio (1984/1986) directed by the famous Italian comedian and director Gigi Proietti, he developed skills on stage management (both on tech and artistic side). In 1990 she left Rome after some interesting theater plays as actress, as audio technician, as co-director and some dubbing activities that completed the range her on stage experiences. In 1991 she approached new technologies and started to learn what is actually one of her main jobs: System Administrator and ICT Consultant. She never left the music apart, and kept on studying jazz on piano, harmonizing soma Bossa Nova on acoustic guitars and writing on the net about Black Music that remains her first and neverending love.
