I feel sorry for BSU and TCU that year, either of them probably could've beaten Texas or Bama but the BCS was too scared to allow either of these teams a shot at the "national championship", considering what Utah did to Bama the year before.

@kfam39 That game is a perfect example of why the BCS fought so hard to keep power teams who didn't come from the traditional conferences out of the "national championship" game. Could you imagine if Utah had beaten Florida that year or BSU upending Bama the year after that or TCU beating Auburn...
