Sick Puppies "All The Same"
Sick Puppies "All The Same"
@FOBxAddict, True, everything is derivative but i lean towards guys like Ryan Adams or Gavin Degraw who have a style and sound all their own. It would be easy to confuse Sick Puppies with a number of bands. Check out People in Planes as well, they appeal to a younger set. Please don't get me wron...

Sick Puppies "All The Same"
These kids are good. But they sound like every other new band...same production, same old guitar sound. I hope they grow out of it. Reminds me of Fuel!

Ryan Adams and Elton John: Tiny Dancer live
Oh man this is sweet! Ryan doing Tiny Dancer with the man himself Elton John. "See if you know this one..."
@zatoichi101. My friends know him and their friends are learning as well. You are right, we all have our favorites but to me Ryan is a prodigious son of a gun with a great talent for writing, mood, style and lyrics. He could be an American Elvis Costello one day...not that they have parallel care...

The Plimsouls - A Million Miles Away
Music video by The Plimsouls performing A Million Miles Away. (C) 1983 Geffen Records
@Boudosaved. You can't forget the Jags "I got your number written on the back of my Hand" or The Knack's "Good Girls Don't". There were a lot of great Power Pop Tunes from that era....I mean the Producers were awesome as well and Elvis Costello gave us Mountains of great tunes!

Wild Cherry - Play that Funky music (White Boy) [Bass Cover]
Here is a link for this video in Stereo and without this f***ing audio compression! :
@Stax63, It simply means a little more than needed! You play well, but too much bass makes a song too busy. Nothing personal! Keep rocking!

People in Planes
If You Talk Too Much(my head will explode)
@Kingeptacon, I can reply! Just learning all this You tube stuff. Silverchair were very young when they broke out and PIP are a little older. Their Lyrics may not be very deep to you. But I like their feel, the dark mood and lyrics are personal to those writing them. I have seen the chaps live op...

The Jags - Back of m hand
the jags on top of the pops
Great 80's tune on the same level as Nick Lowe's "And So It Goes", Joe Jackson's "I'm the Man" and the Knack's "Good Girls Don't". Just great power pop!

One of the boys' better numbers - but Mike/Michael Nesmith doesn't look too impressed... Hey! hit THIS - http://morpheusatloppers.wo......
Rip off the Beatles? This what rocked sounded like back then. Of course the Beatles were very popular at this time and influenced everyone to some degree, but the Monkees' song writers were some of the best up and coming song writers of the time...Neil Diamond and Goffin/King. I think they sounde...
