About this user
"Life finds a way... somehow... no matter how damaged a tree or how inbred a cat may be, life finds a way... I find it hard to conceive... God has his ways. I don't think we will ever fully understand. Life is terribly amazing... in a good way!"
"Being woken up by blue jays is the best way to wake up."
-- Both by me.
"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."
-- Charles Darwin, sixth edition of The Origin of Species.

"People are fragile. Some are more than fragile. Sometimes the littlest things, the most harmless words can break them, and they will never tell you. You will never know until it's too late. Like a glass pitcher, the tiniest little crack can buckle under the pressure and break, sending the contents everywhere. Even they think, at first, that the crack is just a surface crack and only cosmetic. You would think such a tiny crack should be able to hold, but it's the pressure behind it that does the real damage.
Some people are just like that. It's none of your business why, and criticizing how fragile they are makes them more fragile. They don't want to be that sensitive, they don't want all those cracks in the glass that makes them up. Who would want that?
The best you can do is love them. What fragile people need are people they know can support them. A filler for those cracks. Family, friends, whatever. People who make them feel like they're loved and accepted. People who make them happy. That strengthens them. Encourage the things that make them lively and happy. Let them do what they love.
The most fragile person you know could very well be the person you see as the strongest."
