Stahlen is an American rapper, storyteller and scholar. The son of a single mother of five, he was born and raised in Springfield Massachusetts. Although he dropped out of college, he managed to attain a high degree of literacy which is prominent in his lyrics. His debut mixtape "Throw Away Rhymes Volume One", was released in 2009 and hosted by DJ Flash ( http://www.ustream.tv/recor... ). Stahlen wrote his first rhyme on a paper plate while working a nine to five at Duane Reade convenience store in Nassau County New York 2003. From there he moved to several states living with friends while perfecting his craft in attempt to break free of his poverty-stricken lifestyle. In 2004 he and a friend ( Zeb ) took refuge from the streets only to find themselves in the home of crack addict and thief. A wide variety of hardships has molded Stahlen into the dominate lyricist he is today. The repeated change of enviornment has greatly impacted his graceful style of lyricism. He continues to pursue his dream and hopes of success.
