Hey Larry, I use the Super Distortion in my guitar which has got Alder body and Maple neck & fretboard. I use it in Drop B and Drop A tuning and WOW! tight tone ala Slipknot (also the live tone of Mick Thomson) and crazy pinch harmonics that are richer and louder that I heard from active pickups...

bought this pup a month ago and they remind me sound of DIMARZIO SUPER DISTORTION with MORE OUTPUT BUT THEYRE SAME SOUNDING but EMTY is a bit less dynamic. High end is similar - not piercing but good, super D has a bit better cleans..... distortion is the same - same sounding harmonics... and EMT...
