Thirty years ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africas District 9 as the worlds nations argued over what to do with them. Now, patience over the alien situation has run out. Control over the aliens has been contracted out to Multi-National United, a private company uninterested in the aliens welfare they will receive tremendous profits if they can make the aliens awesome weaponry work. So far, they have failed; activation of the weaponry requires alien DNA. The tension between the aliens and the humans comes to a head when an MNU field operative, Wikus van der Merwe, contracts a mysterious virus that begins changing his DNA. Wikus quickly becomes the most hunted man in the world, as well as the most valuable he is the key to unlocking the secrets of alien technology. Ostracized and friendless, there is only one place left for him to hide: District 9.

This is a project that Tyree and his friends had to do for their AVID Class Final exam. Tyree came to with the song he had sketched out, and so we laid the tracks out in Cubase. Then they all came over and laid the vocals the next day. And shot the video the following day. And Wallllah!!!!.. Here it is. I am really proud of all of them. I try to help him take his dreams to the next level.. while asking the question (as it was asked to me by my mentor when I was growing up)... "WHY CAN'T YOU DO IT?).... Hentaigene was formed in 2003 by Emcee Kim who originally came to London to study illustration and animation. The music he had created was of such a high quality that the band decided to play these songs to an audience. This was done at the bull and gate venue in Camden during the summer of '04. Hentaigene are pursuing a sound that will further bridge the gap between traditional Heavy Metal and Hip Hop. This is all done with an element of Japanese style manga. Already well known on the amateur scene and recognized by some well known figures in the UK music industry, Hentaigene look to the future with great hope and expectations.
