This is a age enhanced pic of the deceased Beatle had he lived at age 64.
I think John would be thinner. He was very into keeping his weight down.
I also don't think he'd have aged this well, not naturally anyway.
He looked beyond his 40 years in 1980.

Pete Best speaks much too kindly of Lennon, but Pete seems like an extremely likeable guy, so I'm not surprised he'd be so complimentary. He obviously looked up to Lennon and considered him a pretty good friend.
