I frequently visit concerts and enjoy recording and uploading them on youtube. My musical taste varies from classical to female fronted gothic bands, so you can expect quite a lot of different kinds of music.
About my recordings:
I'm quite serious about getting a good recording, but not at any cost. For example, I'm not interested in field recorders like the Zoom H1, because in that case I have to handle two devices during the recording. So basically it's "one shot, one camera, one microphone (attached to the camera)"
Currently my equipment consists of Panasonic SD700 and the Rode Videomic Pro. The Rode is fine, but it's a shotgun mic and probably not the best for recording live music. I've tested the Rode Stereomic, but to my surprise this mic had more trouble handling high volumes of sound than the Videomic Pro.
So if anyone knows a good stereo mic, please let me know!
